Our Review

When you arrive at the Jurong West ActiveSG Sports Centre, you’ll need to take the lift to the 6th floor. Only the lift on the left will go all the way up. The lift on the right will take you to the 5th floor, and then you’ll need to take the stairs to the 6th floor. If you need them, there are water fountains, vending machines, and restrooms on the 5th floor. There is also a restroom on the 6th floor, but I didn’t recall seeing water fountains up there.

There are two courts here, but in truth I wouldn’t book them for a league match. The surface is different from anything I’ve seen before. It’s hard to describe, so please reference the photos in the gallery above. If you just want to play for fun, I don’t think it’s an issue, but I am aware of a WITS team refusing to play at this location and the committee at the time backed them up, allowing for the away team to force a change in venue. I’ve personally never played here, so can’t comment on how the surface reacts. I would love to hear from anyone who has though. I’d be interested to know if it’s more like playing on fake grass or if it’s more like hard court (or totally unique.)
